QDIC is a leading consultancy in Uganda, offering program management and advisory services across sectors like public health, governance, education, sustainable agriculture, and more. They empower organizations to unlock potential and drive impact on a global scale. To better reflect their dynamic mission and expand their reach, QDIC required a comprehensive digital transformation.
Globe Safaris struggled with:
- Outdated Platform: Legacy site was slow, non-responsive, and hard to update.
- Manual Bookings: No online system—clients had to email/call.
- Weak SEO: Poor rankings for high-value keywords like “luxury safaris.”
- Brand Disconnect: The site felt generic, not luxurious or adventurous.
I redesigned the site from scratch using WordPress, focusing on scalability and user experience:

- Built on Astra Theme + Elementor Pro for pixel-perfect design control.
- Integrated WooCommerce Bookings for seamless reservations.

Performance & Responsiveness:
- Optimized load times (reduced from 8s to 1.2s using caching and Cloudflare CDN).
- Fully responsive design tested across devices.

Booking & Branding:
- Custom WooCommerce setup with Stripe payments and automated confirmation emails.
- Luxury-focused visuals: Full-screen galleries, video backgrounds, and adventure storytelling.

SEO & Content:
- Yoast SEO optimization for target keywords.
- Blog strategy with travel guides and safari tips to drive organic traffic.
- 400% Increase in Direct Bookings via the new WordPress system.
- PageSpeed Score: 98/100 (Mobile) & 100/100 (Desktop).
- Top 5 Google Rankings for “luxury African safari tours.”
- Client Independence: Globe Safaris can now update content, add tours, and manage bookings without technical help.
